The United States Yoga Association (USYA) and the United States Yogasana Sports Federation Inc. (USYSF) offer programs in yoga, Yogasana sport, education, competition, and cultural engagement. Activities are designed for students, practitioners, teachers, athletes, coaches, officials, and community members.

United States Yoga Association (USYA)

  • Yoga Classes: Classes for people of different ages and experience levels. Participants explore yoga postures, breathing, relaxation, and ways to support everyday well-being.
  • Yoga Certification Courses: Training for people who want to deepen their understanding of yoga and develop teaching skills. Courses support learning about yoga practice, class planning, and responsible instruction.
  • Continuing Education: Learning opportunities for yoga teachers and practitioners who want to expand their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and continue their professional development.
  • Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga: Specialized instruction introducing yoga practices adapted for pregnancy and the period after childbirth. Participants learn modifications and mindful movement approaches appropriate to their needs.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED Training: Safety training to help participants learn how to respond to medical emergencies. Certification, when offered, is provided according to the requirements of the authorized training provider.

United States Yogasana Sports Federation Inc. (USYSF)

  • Yogasana Sports Training: Training and development for recreational and competitive Yogasana athletes. Participants can build technique, practice performance, and learn about the sport’s competition standards.
  • State, National, and International Championships: Competition opportunities where athletes can demonstrate their skills, represent their communities, and progress through Yogasana sport pathways.
  • Referee and Judge Education: Courses for people interested in officiating Yogasana competitions. Training introduces competition rules, scoring, judging standards, and event procedures.
  • Re-evaluation Courses: Refresher and assessment opportunities for certified yoga teachers, Yogasana referees, and judges to review relevant knowledge and demonstrate continuing competency.
  • Events, Seminars, and Conferences: Programs that bring athletes, coaches, officials, teachers, and community members together to learn, share experience, and support the development of Yogasana sport.
